Overview

Rockhurst Farm is a quiet and serene 400 acre farm in Shelby County, Alabama. After crossing the old wooden bridge on Highway 51, the pastures open up for horses on the left and on the right, the 2600 square foot pavilion, chapel, barn and old oak tree where the wedding venue is located. From Spring to Fall, the lush green surroundings are perfect for outdoor or indoor weddings.

01 | The barn adjacent to the pavilion, offers 3 restrooms (one ADA approved), 2 dressing areas, and a well equipped caterer’s prep area with easy access. The chapel, which seats 200 guests, overlooks a pond, the old oak tre\e and the open fields.

02 | The owner’s personal cabin is available for groom and attendants at 10 am on wedding day until ceremony time. We schedule one wedding for the weekend.

03 | The venue opens at 10 am the day before wedding to begin set-up. You have 2 hours for rehearsal time and an option for rehearsal dinner following rehearsal. On wedding day, the venue opens at 8:00 am and closes at 10 pm. You may choose any vendors you prefer but we do have a suggested list of vendors that we enjoy a good working relationship. We do require trash removal by caterer or other designated person. Family may return the day following wedding by 12:00 noon to pick up personal items Rental items are picked up on next business day.

— Cafe lighting over lawn by pavilion: $300
— Rehearsal dinner $1500
— Rockhurst is home to a large honeybee apiary; Our honey is available for wedding favors
— Private cabin available at 10 am for groom and groomsmen/ pond for fishing
— Bride and attendants use the barn near pavilion during the day for make up, dressing and relaxing until photo time
